　　In some countries,more and more fathers are staying at home to look after children.while mothers work full time.What are the reasons and is it positive or negative?(20171214)

　　In contemporary society,many traditional concepts have faded away,especlally parental roles in the family.More and more fathers are staying at home to raise their children,and this seems to be a positive trend.

　　It is true that two main causes are able to explain why this trend exists in modern society.First,the women's nights movement has kindled more women to gain independence,fight for equal pay,also the right to vote.Therefore,more and more women are getting rid of the traditional and metaphoric shackles that once held them back,and are embarking on their own careers.Second,living expenses have increased exorbitantly over the past few decades.Hence,couples should share this financial burden.As a consequence,one of a decent pay continues to work,and the other is taking care of children at home.In other words,the reality is extremely barbarous that we should learn to face it.

　　This trend is clearly a positive one for the development of an entire society.First of all,we intend to root out gender discrimination in this period which will in turn lead to a fairer society,which will accelerate social progress and improvement.In addition,more fathers will take responsibility for looking after their children,and allow more fathers to understand the hardship of domestic work.This will inevitably improve family relationships.So when we see a man doing housework,we do not have to laugh at him.

　　For the reasons mentioned above.I think that this trend represents progress of society and an improvement of the social status of women.

　　在当代社会，许多传统观念已逐渐淡化，尤其是父母在家庭中的角色。越来越多的父亲留在家里抚养孩子，这似平是一个积极的趋势。

　　确实，有两个主要原因能够解释为什么现代社会存在这种趋势。首先，女权运动激发更多的女性获得独立，争取同工同酬及投票权。因此，越来越多的女性摆脱了曾经束缚她们的传统和隐形的锁，并开始着手自己的事业。其次，在过去的几十年里，生活费用急速增长。因此，夫妻应该共同分担这种经济负担。因而，谁能拥有体面的收入谁就继续工作，另一方则在家里照顾孩子。换句话说，现实是非常残酷的，我们应该学会面对它。

　　这一趋势对整个社会的发展显然是积极的。首先，我们打算在这个时期根除性别歧视，这会促进社会的公平，加快社会进步，改善社会状况。此外，更多的父亲将负责照顾孩子，让更多的父亲了解家务劳动的艰辛。毫无疑问，这将改善家庭关系。因此，当看到一个男人在做家务时，我们不必嘲笑他。

　　基于上述原因，我认为这一趋势代表了社会的进步和女性社会地位的提高。
