最近半年，考得比较多的两个奇葩口语话题便是这栽花，种树了。如果只是问我们栽没栽过，种没种过倒也还好，可偏偏他们还问我们都知道些什么花，什么树。说汉语自然是没问题的，可是英文的梅兰竹菊、杨柳松柏都咋说啊？

梅兰竹菊不会的话，玫瑰大家总是知道的，rose嘛。百合呢，我本以为大家也都知道，后来才发现，原来大家居然不知那个从小就很熟悉的女生英文名字lily原来竟是百合的意思。至于其他花，接下来跟大家好好说一说。

I know a few such as roses, lilies and sunflowers. Among them, sunflowers are my favourite because of the bright colour, which makes me feel positive whenever I see them. I also like to eat sunflower seeds.

Of course. There are many flowers that have special meanings in China. For example, plum blossom. It’s a kind of flower that blossoms in winter, which is rare. It means brave and noble. Besides. No, I haven’t. I have no patience in taking care of flowers. That’s why I never keep flowers in my home. However, I have seen my parents growing flowers in the yard. It’s actually quite interesting. Maybe I will try it in the future.

Yes, I planted trees only once in my life as far as I remember. I was in primary school and my school teachers took the students to plant trees in a place that I don’t remember where it was exactly. We had a great time though.
