　　1.Taking risks

　　‐(Identify)What kinds of things people need to take some risks in life

　　People often need to take risks in their education and in their careers.For example,after graduating from high school,students need to choose whether to study in a foreign country where they have never been and have no friends and families,and that is a risk that needs to be considered carefully.After graduating from college,a student needs to decide where to work without knowing how that job will turn out,and that is also a risk.

　　‐(Suggest)How can people protect themselves while doing something dangerous

　　There are several guidelines people can follow to protect themselves.First and foremost,people need to adhere to safety procedures when they want to do something dangerous.Secondly,people should bring some safety equipment to protect themselves.Thirdly,people should understand the danger of their activities and be extra careful.

　　‐(Assess)Whether we should teach children to take risks or to always stay on the safe side

　　I think we should teach children to take calculated risks.Taking small risks are in fact good for children,as they can learn how to make decisions,how to deal with uncertainties and challenges,and also how to recover if the result doesn’t turn out well.

　　2.Courage

　　‐(Evaluate)What can be done to help children to build up their courage

　　There are a lot of things can be done to achieve that.For example,parents can teach children how to be courageous by showing them how they handle challenging situations.In addition,parents should let children solve small difficulties on their own,so that they can start learning how to deal with challenges and overcome their fears.

　　‐(Give reasons)Why some people are used to saying no to new things

　　There are a couple reasons for that.I think many people are afraid of change,uncertainty and the possibility of facing failure.

　　‐(Consider)Whether making decisions by themselves help children get more courage in return.

　　I definitely think so.Allowing children to make decisions by themselves is one way to help them learn how to be independent.In doing so,children will learn how to rely on their own to manage their life and make difficult decisions in the future.They are more likely to be courageous when they grow up.

　　3.Results

　　‐(Comment on)When doing things,what really matters is only the result

　　I don’t agree with this point of view because I think the process is more important.People can learn and grow a lot from the process,no matter what the result is.

　　‐(Consider)Why some people don’t care much about the result

　　Because these people are process-oriented as opposed to being goal-oriented.They think the journey is as important as the destination.They may still want to achieve goals but not at the expense of the process.Generally,process-oriented people value the people that they work with and the quality of time spent together.

　　‐(Agree/disagree)The second place is just the first loser

　　I disagree with it.I think no matter what the result is,the process matters more.People can learn and grow a lot from the process.We should not judge anyone based only on the result.
